Antique Swiss silver pocket watch, 1919.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. A good quality 15-jewel movement with Geneva stripes to the plates. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a little unevenness but not too detrimental.

The watch measures 47mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for London (import mark), 1919 with an importer’s mark for George Stockwell.

From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail.

The case is in good condition with just the odd small mark and some fairly gentle unevenness to the hinged case back.

The watch glass is in lovely condition.

The dial is in very nice condition.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
