. The plates divided by ebonised moulded and reeded slip frames .

The gilt-wood frame surround decorated with carved and applied gesso details . The cornice of stepped break-front architectural form . The top frieze and uprights of the ends with moulded half-round fluted columns with decorative foliage decoration. The block terminals with carved square classical-style floral decoration .

Raised on original gilded ball feet .
The original gilding gently rubbed and worn in places showing minor areas of red gesso ground ‘bleeding’ through.
The reverse with original panelled backboards and fitted a hanging chain fixing .
In rare totally original ‘as found’ , fresh-to-market , countryhouse condition.
