Antique Waltham Royal Half Hunter Pocket Watch

Antique 1908 Waltham Royal half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a 17-jewel stem-winding movement, Royal grade, which is working nicely. Nicely patterned movement plates, screwed jewel sets and a Church 1892 star wheel regulator which was invented by Duane Church. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 17,109,361 dates it back to 1908. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the Star model by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison… the Dennison Watch Case Company supplied many of the cases for Waltham UK. The case is in good condition with just light surface marks, nothing too serious at all.

The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a glass lens which is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in very nice condition with blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand which means that the time can be read through the small lens when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
