This wonderful late 19thC French turned wood coatstand is made of satin birch. It is in wonderful condition with a natural occurring burr in the wood as shown in the photographs. This is not a fault and does not deter from the look of the coatstand at all. It has strong good quality brass hooks to the top and wonderful turned wood hooks running down the stand, the turning is exceptional quality and it is an extremely useful piece of furniture,
