Stylish modernist influence design, especially to the unique slope-sided wardrobe.
Walnut veneers laid in a striking circular pattern across the door and door fronts. With good inlaid detail to the centres whilst the vertical and horizontal elements are veneered in highly figured burr walnut. Fine marquetry inlaid edge mouldings with coloured and contrasting detail against rosewood and ebony ground. Also featuring mother of pearl inlays to the crossbanded borders of the press and wardrobe doors. Nicely shaped and moulded legs in solid walnut. Mahogany drawer linings and ground work. Original ivorine and gilt handles and escutcheons across the suite. Original maker’s label for Maple & Co. of London, Paris and Buenos Aires inside the centre wardrobe door. Excellent condition cleaned and polished in our workshops. The chairs and stool have each been freshly reupholstered. Note the wardrobe splits into two sections plus plith for delivery.
