A most beautiful antique French gilt bronze clock set by Japy Frères.
The cushion shaped bases are set upon scrolling acanthus feet, the clock with goddess mask. Candelabra are conforming in style with chased tapered columns with two branches.

The dial is gilt bronze with 12 individual enamel cartouches and blued steel hands. There is a thirteenth cartouche for the retailer's signature.
The French movement is by Japy Freres and is of the makers usual high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask and we will send you a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright some slight marks and wear and some slight discolouration particular to two drip pans. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damage.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
