The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Bovet Freres & Co SA.
The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition with just light surface marks. The case back is engraved L J Mouat 1955-56.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, date pointer with red detail and a subsidiary seconds dial. There is light marking to the dial but it is not too detrimental at all. There are day and month apertures at the top of the dial, initially set by winding the hands forwards for the day and pushing the small button to the side of the case for the month. The date pointer is set via the lower button to the side of the watch.
A later leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
