Solid Silver Sugar Castor

Description

A Solid Silver Sugar Castor.

The silver sugar castor with a vase finial, above the dome lid, the octagonal panels with pierced sugar sifting, the piercing in the form of flower heads. The lid fitting within the concave mould rim of the body. The octagonal body spreading in a baluster shape, and thence tapering to the spreading octagonal stepped mould foot. The castor hallmarked for Adie Brothers, Birmingham, 1924.
