Small (77.5in) 8 Day Mahogany Grandfather Longcase Clock

Description

Charming Small Mahogany Longcase Clock with Pagoda Top Hood and Columns attached to the Opening Door. The 8 Day Bell Striking Movement with Brass Dial Crisply Engraved Centre Dial, Head Mask Spandrels and Silvered Chapter Ring Inscribed "Robert Robins". It is not know if Robins refers to a village near Wakefield after Robin Hood of Nottingham Forest Fame, a marriage between two families (Robert and Robins) or made for someone called Robert Robins. The Case (signs of old dead worm), Movement (Checked, Oiled and Tested to be in Good & Full Antique Working condition) and Dial with Attractive Flora & Urn Engraving (possibly originally intended for a 30 hour clock but upgraded with an 8 day movement) all look well balanced.
