A very well executed Equestrian oil painting from the Victorian period. Oil on canvas framed in a deep gilt frame. The bay horse standing proud with its owner and jockey with the race course in the distance. Good perspective and colour. The artist has captured the horse particularly well especially in scale and definition. The canvas is stamped on the reverse and supplied by the famous George Rowney & Co. London The addresses of 64 Oxford Street & Princes Hall, Piccadilly dates it from around 1880.
