Penderyn Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
He became a cornet in the Royal Horse Guards in 1808 and in 1813 was Aide-de-camp to Sir Rowland Hill at Pampeluna and at the Battle of Vitoria. He reached the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. He was a J.P. and Deputy Lieutenant for Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.

CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. General surface wear and marks throughout but overall, good. Some splits to the top along with some water marks and stains (pictured). The blue baize interior (later) remains in good condition with no major rips or tears. Good colour and patina.
