An 18th Century Ebonised & Upholstered Queen Anne Side Chair

Elegant and superbly crafted, this side chair is a particularly refined expression of Queen Anne Furniture. Dating from the early eighteenth century, C.1710.
 
Raised on an ebonised walnut base, demonstrating upholstered tapering rectangular back and seat, displaying moulded angular cabriole legs, joined by a turned tripartite medial stretcher and further turned rear stretcher. Sat on four fabulous oversized pad feet, with elegant detailing.
 
 
A truly remarkable example, displaying unique detailing to the base, with such elegance and sophistication found in the angular design elements throughout.
