Royal Dux Figure by Alois Hempel

This Large Royal Dux figure of a beautiful young maiden carrying a woven basket on her head was made circa 1910.

Very much with the Art Nouveau influence it was modelled by one of the best pottery artists at this famous company,

Alois Hempel 1853-1924.

The size and quality of this work sets it aside from the majority of Royal Dux pieces.

Her loose gown adorned with necklaces to her front, and her face with the soft pale completion.

There has been a professional restoration to the basket
