Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A George IV chiffonier is a 19th-century side cabinet typically crafted from mahogany, featuring a combination of cupboards and drawers beneath a raised upper shelf gallery designed for displaying decorative objects.

Furniture makers during this period predominantly utilised solid mahogany and rich flame mahogany veneers, often incorporating brass hardware, brass castors, and oak or pine as secondary drawer lining woods.

Authentic pieces from the 1820s feature hand-dovetailed drawer joints, original turned timber handles or brass fittings, natural wood shrinkage lines, and turned legs often fitted with brass castors.

A mahogany chiffonier serves as a functional storage piece in modern hallways, dining rooms, or living spaces, providing surface area for table lamps and ceramics while concealing everyday items.

Dust regularly with a dry microfibre cloth and apply a beeswax polish twice yearly along the grain direction, keeping the timber away from direct heat sources and sunlight to prevent drying or fading.
