Antique French Inlaid Marquetry Bombe Chest

1900 - 1920
Description

Antique French style bombe chest with inlays & floral marquetry on the drawer fronts & sides.

It’s in very good condition & I would date it to around the 1920’s period.

Unlike most of these commodes, this one has a polished top instead of marble. It has gilt metal mounts, handles, escutcheons & feet. The wood is predominately kingwood & rosewood, with satinwood inlays & more exotic woods within the detailed marquetry.
