Description

A fine pair of Old Sheffield Plated serving tureens by makers Padley Parkin and Co c1840. This impressive pair of tureens are both inlaid with a silver cartouche, engraved with a Coat of Arms bearing the Latin motto 'Esto quod esse videris' (Be ever faithful). Both have well fitting removable twist handles.

The condition is very good with little signs of wear, with good clean interiors with the obvious signs of light use. Some patches of copper bleed to underside of one of the tureens. Very minor age related wear.
