Description

A Large 19th Century Brass Telescope.

The telescope with a long barrel, the objective end with a gilt brass cover, the adjustable eye piece opening and closing for focus with a side adjusting knob. The telescope on an adjustable and folding tripod stand. The telescope and stand joined by an adjustable angle brace. The telescope complete with two subsidiary eye pieces. The whole in the mahogany case.

Stamped for JONES, HOLBORN.

Height 19 1/2 inches, 50cm, telescope on stand and horizontal.

Width 38 inches, 97cm, barrel closed.

Depth 15 inches, 38cm.
