Rare Art Deco Porcelain Flapper Powder Box, C1930

1920 - 1940
Description

Striking and quite rare is this 1930s Art Deco porcelain powder box which depicts a stylized female dancer sat on hat box. We think she's German in origin and although not marked, only impressed factory numbers we think she's likely from FASOLD & STAUCH more commonly known for making half dolls and is a German company. Beautiful colouring and detailing. The attention to detail is just wonderful, so skillfully painted, from her slightly blushed cheeks to her tiny fingers, everything about this piece screams quality and at every angle she looks amazing and part of the half doll family this piece would make an ideal addition to any collection. Condition is excellent, she's free from crazing, chips , cracks etc. She does have to the back of her dress an historical restoration which we hadn't noticed until photographing so it's fairly well hidden, we have priced her to reflect this flaw. Other she's great and displays perfectly, much larger than the regular figural powder boxes so she wont disappoint.
