A Mahogany Georgian Period Antique Linen Press

18th century
Description

A mahogany Georgian Period antique linen press. The upper section having a moulded cornice with fine inlaid detail and satinwood inlaid panels above the twin doors with wonderful figured mahogany oval panels, banded in rosewood with boxwood edging, opening to reveal hanging space (would formally have had trays). The lower section having three rectangular oak lined drawers also banded in rosewood with the original oval backplate handles and supported on splayed feet. English circa 1800-1820

Dimensions: 48" wide x 80" high x 21" deep (19.5" deep inside top)

Condition: This press is in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed
