Description
A very Rare Precision Regulator By Andrew Kelly of Glasgow, a rare striking regulator by Jason and Andrew Kelley of Glasgow (1845-1875). The beautifully made solid mahogany case is most unusual being square topped (instead of the usual dome) with intricate carved freise to the top and behind the glass. The case is glazed on three sides and the beautifully made movement can clearly be seen. The heavy pendulum is independently suspended from the substantial cast bracket fixed to the backboard. The substantial rack striking movement has been fully overhauled and comes with a full three year guarantee. The clock is finished with a finely engraved silvered dial in the domestic style.
