A Rare BEHA Double Fusee Burr Walnut Table Cuckoo Clock c1860. This fine example of an eight day double fusee Burr Walnut clock from perhaps the best known Black Forest maker, J. S. Beha & Soehne.
The Burr Walnut case is very rare almost certainly a commissioned piece due to the type of wood used. These clock are almost always a carved dark oak. The Burr Walnut is of a very good quality and colour and really does look amazing in the flesh!
The double fusee wooden movement with typical BEHA ornate springs and levers has been fully overhauled by me personally and comes with a full three years guarantee.
The hand painted original wooden bird pops out smartly and cuckoo’s on the half hour and the hour.
