. The figures depicted in conversational groups seated on benches and standing beneath the bough of a tree and the eaves of a pavilion with doves on the roof .

The background depicts a bay and shipping with a mountainous landscape beyond . The black ground with gilded and bronzed decoration , with excellent attention to detail to the costumes , buildings and floral decoration.

The rectangular tray with a raised or ‘dished’ edge .
In excellent original condition with one area of minor damage to the lower left handside of the raised lip edge . Very minor crackulature or crazing to the surface , commensurate with age . No distortion or warping .
