Description

An exceptional quality WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) German Jugendstil silver plated egg cup stand with salt and original spoon dating from around 1900. The set comprises of a small handled tray with molded interlaced scrolling around the edges typical of the period and style. The stand comes with a fitted pedestal eggcup with a flower shaped top, gilded to the inside and with a similar glass topped pedestal salt. The tray has a egg shaped recess, also gilded with a slot behind which holds an original egg spoon with a gilded bowl. All pieces impressed with I/O and WMF quality marks with the addition of an OX mark to the tray.
A rare find in this exceptional original condition.
