£580.00 Japanese ‘Imari’ pattern porcelain bowl and cover, Arita, 18th Century, Edo Period. The bowl hand painted in typical Imari style, with shaped panels containing Phoenix and flowering plants, all on an underglaze blue ground. The cover, similarly decorated, and having a gilded finial. Medium: Porcelain Height: 10.2 cm, 4”. Width: 14.5 cm, 5 3/4”. Depth: 14.5 cm, 5 3/4”. Condition: Typical minor wear to the gilding, commensurate with its age. No restoration.
