Outstanding English Georgian Boulle Box - Museum Quality C.1820

Description

A sensational antique boulle box, the quality has to be seen to be believed. This early boulle work is the best that can be found, very finely cut out brass inlaid to the tortoiseshell below, further enhanced by intricate engraving.

Incorporated into the work are mythical figures, birds, squirrels, dogs, rabbits and overflowing urns of flowers, take a careful look; all intact.

The lid interior retains it's original silk lining and the bottom has been re-lined in a hand-marbled paper perfectly in keeping.

One of the finest you will see in superb condition. Glamorous and impressive. Measuring 8 3/4" x 6 1/2" x 4" tall. Complete with working key.
