Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It has a solid walnut top, rounded corners and very deep drawers. The bottom drawer is extra deep, as it is attached to the plinth base. All the drawers have turned bun handles, locks and fine dovetails.
There is a wonderful burr walnut pattern running through all the drawer fronts. This chest of drawers has plenty of character and loads of storage space. Large Victorian chests of drawers of this quality in burr walnut are very rare these days.
