Pair of Antique Mahogany Chippendale Style Armchairs

1900 - 1920
Description

A smart and handsome pair of antique carved mahogany armchairs, in the Chippendale style. These date from around the 1890-1910 period.

They are of very fine quality, with lovely carving around the base & tops of the legs, plus they have ball & claw feet. They are sturdy, very well built and are in excellent condition for their age.

These were re-upholstered not long ago by the previous owner in this beautiful and top quality fabric. The upholstery is in excellent condition with barely any wear, so we have left them as is.

Depth – 28 inches , 69 cm

Height – 38 inches , 97 cm

Seat height – 17 inches , 44 cm
