Description

An interesting Norwegian silver vesta.

This is marked to the top with 830 NM 98 and to one side.

The NM is not a makers mark it stands for Norsk Monster which is their equivalent of a copyright, patent number.

There is no S after the 830 but the item is definitely silver.

Date wise late 19th century.

The lid slides back and then pivots around.

The inside still shows signs of gilding, the striker on the base is in very good order.

Overall excellent order and would make a great Christmas present or an addition to a vesta collection.
