A superb, George V, solid silver tankard. This stunning item is a lovely plain polished silver with no engraving or embossing. It stands on one circular foot and has a handsome handle to one side. The inside has a gilt wash that further enhances the aesthetic appeal. On one side near to the handle are the very clear and crisp hallmarks for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1925 and Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver. The maker''s mark is also very clear for the renowned silversmiths: Goldsmiths& Silversmiths Company.
A fine tankard and a good heavy gauge of silver would make a perfect gift for a special birthday, or a great christening gift!
