A gorgeous gilded silver necklace from the Victorian era, studded with natural turquoise cabochons in pretty flower-motif settings.

Turquoise, in the language of Victorian sentimental jewellery, always represents the forget-me-not flower symbolising true love and loyalty. A romantic symbol used as a constant and powerful reminder of a love lost or perhaps of a sweetheart sent off to fight in the Crimean war.

In excellent antique condition.

Marked 900 (silver fineness).
