Description

An absolutely stunning boxed set of fish servers, clearly untouched for years and the presentation box is pristine so must have been tucked away in a cupboard for decades.

Dating to around 1880, each piece is marked DIXON for the famous silversmith, James Dixon & Company; a true top quality Victorian set.

Both pieces are pierced or reticulated, and beautifully engraved including a bee on the large Ivy leaf in the centre of the knife.

Quite superb in immaculate condition, perfect for serving all sorts of things; as beautiful as useful. The box measures 13" x 4 1/2"; the knife measuring 11 3/4" and the fork, 9" in length.
