The body with rounded shoulders, and a slightly recessed centre section, broadening to the rounded lower section, before the outswept foot rim.

The jar with a scrolled reserve, topped by peacocks flanking a basket of fruit. The lower edge swagged with fruits between a cherub mask. The reserve titled 'MARTIAT. The underside with makers mark 'P' for Jan Pennis Merken.
