Antique English Sterling Silver Jewellery Box - 1893

Description

A wonderful novelty jewelry box with a variety of embossed or repousse decoration creating a box to resemble a bag with clasp to the front and a large oval vacant cartouche on the flap.

The box is beautifully hallmarked for Birmingham 1893 together with the makers mark for S W Smith.

The hinged lid lifts to reveal a freshly re-lined interior with cream velvet, fresh and clean, ready for use.

Excellent condition measuring 7" x 3 1/2" x 2" tall.
