Description

A late 19th treen magic trick.

Lovely colour and patination.

Very fine turned decoration.

There are two lids, the first lifts off to reveal half a red ball fixed into the frame.

The second lid lift off to reveal a full red ball.

The stem of this trick is slender in comparison to other examples found. There is evidence that the stem has been broken, but expertly repaired, barely visible to the naked eye. There is also a hairline crack to the top portion with the half red ball, but it is so slight that I couldn’t photograph it.
