Description

Late 19th.c. rosewood three seater couch c.1880. Shapely moulded frame in solid rosewood with curved backrest and arms over a sprung seat. Recently upholstered in a well chosen fabric with attractive woven botanical design. The rear side panels retain their original fabric whilst the centre of the rear is plain hessian. Carved scroll detail to the arm terminals raised on swept supports flowing gracefully into the shaped front legs, the sinous design continuing across the apron below the seat. Raised on the original turned wooden castors with brass collars. Excellent colour and condition with clean covers, the frames have been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
