Solid Silver Caddy 1909

Description

A Silver Caddy.

The silver caddy with a lift off cover. The cover topped by a rounded oval finial handle, above an outward swept dome, with facetted panels, funning to the flat rim. The cover fitting within a reeded body rim, above a concave collar, broadening to the rounded oval octagonal body, decorated with flutes dividing horizontal reeded banding. The body tapering inward and downward to a reeded edge foot. The caddy hallmarked for William Aitken, Birmingham 1909.
