Artisan Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.

The exterior of the spoon is richly coated in gold vermeil (silver-gilt) and features an array of ornate decorative motifs along the stem and handles. Whether be it for adding an edge of gold tones in a collection or as an acquisition for usage amongst other tea sets, porcelain, etc, these spoons provide a fine liaison between aesthetic beauty and practicality.

The set of 12 spoons are fitted in a wooden box that has a turn key which functions perfectly, allowing for the box to be locked. Unfortunately, the base of the box has a split along the bottom - we recommend for the box to be used solely for display purposes.

Hallmarks are fully present on all pieces with the maker's mark and the standard French Assay - Minerva's Head.
With no gilding loss and in excellent useable condition, these spoons would make an ideal gift or addition to one's collection or for usage during afternoon teas.
