Antique Victorian Mahogany Leather Top Writing Table

Description

A handsome and fine quality antique writing desk, dating from the early Victorian period, probably around 1840-60’s.

It is beautifully made from mahogany with a tooled leather top, we have had this French polished and the condition is excellent for its age. This sits on fluted turned solid mahogany legs, with original brass caters.

The drawers are solid oak lined, with fine dovetails and original turned handles. This nicely finished and polished on the back, so looks great from all angles.

Height – 30 inches , 76 cm

Knee height – 24 inches , 61 cm
