Arts & Crafts Oak Secretaire Bookcase C.1910.

Description

Edwardian era Arts & Crafts style oak bureau or secretaire bookcase c.1910. Two door bookcase top with particularly attractive coloured and leaded glass door panels, fitted inside with two adjustable shelves and with an open shelf below. Over a roll front bureau opening to reveal a pull-out desk top (height 30?) and fitted interior of pigeon holes, stationery drawer and pen tray. Three long drawers below the desk with original Arts & Crafts pattern handles. Crisply moulded and flared cornice, shaped apron and legs. Solid oak sides, drawer linings and backboards. Maker’s label for Hunters High Class Furniture of Leigh (near Wigan). Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
