Anglo Indian Pierced Rosewood Screen C.1890.

Description

Very unusual late 19th.c. Anglo-Indian carved rosewood screen c.1890. Four identical 21" wide folds with remarkably intricate carved panels pierced with geometrical designs featuring Islamic arches, eight pointed stars, diamond and hexagon patterns and vine and leaf detail. Stiles and rails also carved with vine and leaves, topped with turned finials. Excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
