Description

This fantastic looking clock will speak volumes to any Art Deco collectors/ admirers such is the great styling of this timepiece. It's French in origin and looks like it was presented as a gift to someone, the plaque on the base reads" A Nortra Directuer Pour Ses 25 Annees De Direction 1920-20-7-1945". The dial reads Altelnoh Bruxelles "Just". This is a large and substantial clock and so perfect for mantle areas, sideboards etc. The numeral layout really makes this a striking looking clock and one that we've fallen in love with. The movement has been fully restored by a qualified horologist ( it's been pointed out to us there's a little poirot out there copying our exact phrasing ) so the clock works and keeps very good time. The case and dial are also in good condition, however there is an historic crack which isn't noticeable because of the marbling pattern and is stable and won't travel any further but is mentioned here for accuracy.
