Pair of Mahogany Armchairs C.1830.

Description

Lovely pair of early 19th.c. era mahogany armchairs c.1830. An interesting coutry vernacular interpretation of the classic Regency scroll arm chair. Solid mahogany frames with flame mahogany veneered panels to the back stretchers, the lower one shaped. Arms flaring outwards toward the front with scrolling terminals and raised on charming bobbin turned supports. Loose seat pads freshly upholstered in a pale grey linen. Slighly curved rear stiles and simple straight square front legs joined with H stretchers for strength. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
