A good early 19th watercolour of an officer in The 10th The Prince of Wales Own Hussars, mounted on a bay charger, with cavalry manoeuvres in the background. Monogrammed by the renowned military artist, Henry Martens (1790-1868) with initials HM, lower right. The back of the picture is inscribed “Outside L in Waiting room”! This picture has interesting and good provenance from a private collection. The colours and condition are good though there is a bit of foxing.
