Antique Zenith Pocket Watch, 1915

1900 - 1920
Description

Antique Zenith pocket watch, 1915.

The watch has a good quality 15 jewel stem-winding movement, Zenith 19.5''', which is working nicely. The movement has a cam disc regulator with a disc that can be rotated for for micro adjusments of the regulator index. The patent for this design was registered in 1903 by the Swiss watch maker Hermann Roost.

The movement is signed with the Zenith name and the serial number 2013028 dates it back to 1915.

The movement is protected by an inner dust cover which has details of various exhibition medals won and also details of the movement.

The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver and it has a rose gold wash around the bezel and the edge of the case back. This style of case is known as galonne and was popular in the early 1900s. The case is in lovely condition, just some rubbing to the wash. Engine turned detail to the hinged case back with a central vacant cartouche.

The watch glass is in lovely condition.

The signed dial has four faint hairlines running up from the centre towards number 12.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
