Description

Gents late 1960s Zenith wrist watch.

The watch has a Zenith 2542C 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. This particular calibre was only in production from 1968 until 1969.

The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated with the thicker 20 microns of plate and it is in good condition with just the odd mark, nothing too serious at all.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial has the odd mark but again not too detrimental. Original hands, seconds sweep and date display. This is an early form of quickset date where the hands are moved backwards and forwards between midnight and 6.30pm until the desired date is reached.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
