A mid 19thC Tunbridgeware rosewood trinket or pen box, dating to c1860, in excellent condition. The removable lid is inlaid with inlaid mosaic woods of different hues - from light green to pale ochre - in a botanical design, surrounded by a chequered and boxwood border. The rosewood is well figured with a rich colour. A charming item.
