Description
This primitive hand carved wooden bowl with ironwork and ring handle is carved out of a single log and the linear carving marks can be seen on the inside. These wonderful bowls are from India where they are called Pot Mana or Grain pots and are used for measuring grains and other foods. This one probably dates from the mid 19th century 1850 - 1860 and has beautiful rustic charm. The pot is skillfully crafted in wood and ironwork. There is an iron ring attached for hanging the pot when not being used. Weight: 806 g Condition: Rustic antique condition.
