Pair of late C19th Chinese Qing Dynasty carved ebonised hardwood inset marble top tables.
Useful pair of ebonised carved ‘hongmu’ low stands with inset variegated rouge marble tops . Raised on shaped legs with carved detail and dragon’s claw feet . Shaped tops with carved edges , inset circular marble centres , each with carved and pierced friezes with prunus blossom or vine detail , and united by curved convex stretchers.
In excellent original condition, heavy quality pair of exotic tables or jardiniere stands of practical scale ,size and form , to use as drinks or ‘end’ tables .
