Antique Burr Walnut Leather Top Pedestal Desk

1920 - 1940
Description

Fine quality antique Georgian style burr walnut desk with a double serpentine shaped front & beautifully finished all the way around, including the back. I would date it to around the 1930’s period & it’s in excellent condition.

It has the original tooled leather writing surface, with drawers of graduated depth below that have original nicely cast brass handles & it sits on bracket feet.

What’s particularly useful about this desk, is the generously size kneehole area, especially for a desk of this size. The burr walnut veneers are stunning & beautifully patterned all over.

Depth – 22 inches, 56 cm

Height – 30 inches, 76 cm

Knee height – 24 inches, 61 cm

Knee width – 19 inches, 48 cm
