Description
A beautiful ring from the Victorian period, c1860s. The ring is made from 15ct gold and has a beautiful ornate setting with a frilled edge. This pretty and unusual setting holds a fairly large garnet that is faceted to the top of the stone. The garnet has a beautiful deep red tone and the surface faceting allows the light to shine through to allow the red to glow from within. The shank is a lovely width and this ring has a beautiful solid look. The inside of the shank was once inscribed with a date or note, though this has rubbed over time. Details: Materials - 15ct Gold (tested), Garnet Age - C1860s Size - The garnet in its setting measures approx 15mm by 11mm. Ring size UK P US 7 1/2 This ring could be resized.
